Paros, Greece is located in the central Aegean Sea and is one of the most popular destinations in the Cyclades after Santorini and Mykonos. It blends natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant modern life, making it suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers.

We decided to do the Highlights of Paros tour. With this tour, our bus ride took us to two classic Greek villages beginning with Naousa, where life revolves around the sea. As you will see in the upcoming pics and videos, we visited the remains of a Venetian fortress and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin, which sits atop the village's highest point.

Come along as we begin our excursion and learn about Paros and its history.

Let's continue on with our bus ride.

Picturesque views from the bus.

Pictures in the Village

That was such a nice visit at the fishing village and on the water. Now we are headed to the Church of the Virgin Mary. Listen to our guide provide more history on Paros, Greek religion and Greek mythology.

This short 26 second video was taken inside the church.

These pictures were taken at the church.

Ro Ro's Photo Gallery

In this section you will find a gallery of photos and a couple of extremely short videos, courtesy of my daughter, Roneshia, aka Ro Ro. While we did the same excursion and these pics were taken in the same places, she captured other scenes that I missed. Photo/Video Credit: Roneshia Williams

A short video (:23) of us walking through one of the many alleyways.

An eighteen second (:18) video of us walking through the church.

Thank you so much for sharing your captures.

Made it back to the ship for dinner and a stroll.

Dinner was delicious. Bacon-wrapped shrimp with mashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob.

While walking, I decided to stop and snap a picture of the Spinnaker Lounge before it gets busy.

Thanks Ro Ro for capturing these scenes and a short video as we prepare to leave Paros.

That concludes the fifth day of our cruise. There is so much history in Greece and I enjoyed learning about Paros.

Stay tuned for Day 6 as we will be spending the day in Heraklion, Greece.
