South Africa 2023 - Cape Town - Day 4, Part II - Westlake Golf Club

We are on our way to Westlake Golf Club for an evening of fun, fine dining, fellowship, dancing, jazz and live entertainment.

Scenes on the way to our destination.

Westlake Golf Club.

This place is beautiful. The course is situated in a spectacular location, at the foot of the Silvermine Mountains, overlooking the Indian Ocean and False Bay. If you want to take a look, go to the website.

Westlake Golf Club outside views.

In this video, Ja'Vonne introduces Judy Pillay, Stakeholder Relations Manager at South African Tourism. Judy acknowledged Michael and thanked him for bringing us to South Africa. Cheers to Michael!

Michael addressing the travel club members.

This video is almost 16 minutes long but it covers a great deal of conversation. In it, Michael talks about making South Africa an annual trip and introduces Billy Domingo - Billy founded the Cape Town International Jazz Festival and was also the first black stage director in South Africa. Billy gives us quite a bit of his history and he also arranged for us to be at the Westlake Golf Club - a place where black folks were not initially allowed. Last but not least, Don Vino is brought to the stage.

Don Vino and the band members.

The next three videos feature our entertainment during dinner. From Al Green to Luther Vandross to Al Jarreau. What a treat!

After I finished eating, I was so busy networking that I forgot to catch most of these songs but did get enough of Let's Just Kiss and Say Goodbye and Never Gonna Fall in Love Again for a teaser. He can sing!!!

Yep, they doing that old school dancing. This video may freeze for a second but should continue shortly thereafter.

It is getting toward the end of the night and since this is our last night in Cape Town, we gonna do some of that old school dancing and say thank you to Cape Town.

More of that old school dancing.

Last dance of the night. Thank you Cape Town!!!
